I know this was a dead thread, but hey, no need to start a new one for more pictures. We can just re-name the thread if more people post pics (once the game is out of alpha).

I'm going to have to test some of these... but the biggest mind=blown item on here I've seen so far is...

A USE FOR BOOKS!

DayZ Crafting

Check it out, and memorize some of the recipes so we can test/make them. If I remember correctly, we have a deer pelt in the tent (provided it is still there after Wednesday).

That is sort of the idea behind it.

There are loot points all over the map (lets use, for example, the gun house). There are some gun houses near the coast, where new spawns will loot them.

If one gun house on the coast has an item that gets looted, then one of the other gun houses on the map will spawn an item within 5 minutes (not sure of the exact timing here).

The gun house that gets the loot spawned in it could, in fact, be a gun house that is near another spawn point (i.e. on the coast somewhere), but probability says it would end up somewhere else on the map.

Conversely, if a gun house in the middle of the map is looted, then items may spawn at a gun house on the coast. However, since there would be a higher probability of those new items being looted, logic would say that there is more loot to be found (at least more often) in the middle of the map than on the coast.

The best places to find loot are now where other players loot the least.

The last couple minutes of the video explain this, but the whole video explains in detail how the whole system works now.

Terrible quality video, but this is the exact problem I was having with the bow. It's simple to craft, but impossible to use at the moment. Stick to firearms.

I know I complained a bunch tonight during our gaming session, and I'm sorry if I put anyone off. I just get frustrated when I die 20 times and only get one kill... KOTH (and Arma in general) is really difficult for me to get the hang of for some reason.

I'll work on it more on my own and maybe after a while I'll get used to it.

I had this issue originally. There is no 'remember me' option on the main login page, so the site doesn't send a cookie or anything to keep you logged in. Here's the solution I found:

Enter an incorrect password on the main page

You will be redirected to a different login page

Enter the correct information and check the box to keep yourself signed in

After you do that, you should stay logged in until you either log out, or your browser deletes its history/cookies/saved logins. If that is the actual issue, I can walk you through fixing it better over teamspeak.
