Wow! What amazing quality.
I loved that guys comment about posting photos and calling them screenshots! (that is what I first thought)

I've lost touch with FSX. It looks like the addons are just getting better.

They look like photos, don't they. The developer did say that the screenshots were 4K, but I'll bet they still look great at 1920x1080.

Speaking of FSX, I went ahead and reinstalled it again after giving it up for dead.

I was going to ask if you have installed the original disc or gone for the Steam version?

The reason I ask is that my Dad has re-installed FSX (disc) on to his new PC.
Somehow he did not put it in the default location and piled in all his addons most into the default and some God knows where!

Since then his PC rarely boots up properly. I managed to clear out most and re-install but he is still having trouble.

I suggested he might start afresh inc. windows re-install and go for the Steam version. It looks after itself and has multiplayer I believe?

I know not all his addons will work with the Steam version, but that might be a sacrifice he has to make for less hassle!

I have the Disc version (Gold edition) so I can't comment on the Steam version. I doubt that a messy installation of FSX would be the cause of his OS problems. A full reinstall of FSX and all the addons can take quite a while.

Thanks McGuirk, I might tell him to hold off with the wipe!

What do you think of 'Flight School' coming out soon?

I'm interested in seeing it. I doubt I'll buy it since its not a full world simulator but I might change my mind when i see it. If I understand Dovetail's public comments correctly, they do intend on releasing a full simulation by years end that will be 64 bit.

The dev did say that the whole world would be included in Flight School but I think he means in terms of scenery and airports. I guess the "full blown" simulator due out later will be more full featured, WX, ATC, More planes, etc., like FSX was.

Hmmm, worth keeping an eye on though.

Flight sim just cannot fade away with the massive community behind it.
