What are some advantages and disadvantages to using STEAM Workshop?

How could STEAM Workshop be better?

I'm currently using the Steam Workshop for a couple of Arma 3 mods.

What I like about it:

The mods are thoroughly vetted by Steam before they accept them.

They are automatically updated by Steam.

They can be easily toggled on or off in the Mods tab of the Arma 3 launcher.

Disadvantage:

The selection of mods is limited.

I don't have a ton of Steam games, so perhaps others can comment on how they use it with other games. All I know is it works great with Arma 3.

I use the workshop for a couple of my games. It is juat as easy as the rest. Find it, select it, let it download, sit back and enjoy the automatic updates.
