I had just finished looting Vybor military base and was on my way to the NWAF when someone started shooting at me. I had no idea where he was so I zig zagged away looking over my shoulder I saw the guy chasing me, I ran to a pond and hid in the bushes, as he was running past me he spotted me hiding! after an exchange of fire he was out cold, I had no ammo so I looted him, he had a VSS so I took it and finished him off. Fire checked the logs his name was "LifeS2Short" and he was fully kitted, now I am fully kitted!

The moral of this story is don't shoot at =SWF= Lambourne unless you are confident you will kill him in the first shot, otherwise you will die.

Not sure if it was intentional, but running into the sun, as you did, could provide a significant advantage when you turn around. When its time to engage, the target is lite-up and has difficulty seeing you.
