H&G Infantry Tutorial on the Encounter Map - Feedback

If you are leaving a reply in this thread, please attempt to answer the following questions.


1) What other tasks should be taught to new players?

2) Which player base behavior should be modified?

3) How can it be modified?
 
4) Which amazing features should be introduced to the new players to 'hook'em' ?


The tutorial is teaching new players how to play the H&G game.  The tutorial should also be shaping behavior and creating enough excitement to retain players.

1st & 2nd Action Battle (x2) - East Approach on Encounter Map
State: "For your faction to win an action battle, you faction has to capture and hold the objective for a longer period of time than the enemy."
Shorter: "To Win, Capture and Hold objective longer than enemy"
- Continue to highlight (bright green) the objective area while waiting for the battle to start

- Introduce the statistics matrix while waiting for the battle to start
... From left to right (not all stat categories)
Kills
Deaths
Headshots

Resource symbols
Infantry
Motorized
Infantry Support Vehicle
Motorcycle

Highlight how to spawn soldier (red arrow points or glowing throbbing border on diamond symbol)

3rd & 4th Action Battle (x2) - West Approach on Encounter Map
- Spawn a vehicle
- Spawn in other player's vehicle
- Spawn in mobile spawn
- Switch seats in vehicle
- Exit vehicle

- Ammo crate
- Med crate
- Anti-tank crate (panzerfaust)

- Spot
- Change rate of fire
- Battle line
- Significance of objectives

5th & 6th Action Battle (x2) - Para-drop with high-end full-mod weapon on Encounter Map

Perhaps, the transition from bots to real players has a very brief video about the following:

- Welcome and thank them for choosing Heroes and Generals
- Introduce soldier types
- Three currencies (Credits, War Funds, Gold)
- Explain limited resources

- Order system (Attack, Defend, Rally)
- Squad Leader
- Reason for 1-5 star rating of battle
- Three information panels after an action battle (Soldiers, Scoreboard, Battle)

- Account progression
- Ribbon progression
- Weapon mods
- Rank & Salary
- Campaign Map & Assault Teams
- Sources on information (Wiki, News, Forum, YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, etc) [This is the time to teach them how to fish for information]

Introduce them to the awesome H&G Community, encourage them to become active in the H&G Forum, and make them feel like they are now part of the Family.

@reto.McFly I enjoyed DevStream #89 - Tutorial Bots.  I think the new tutorial due out with Update 1.06 will greatly assist new players.  Thanks for all the hard work.
