This is a cool video from the 'Horizons Beta' to be released soon.

It is interesting for two reasons.
The first is the new approach and landing on a planet surface.
Secondly,the craft is the beautiful Cutter for which I will not rest until I own!

I've just found out the two new ships the Federation Corvette and Empire Cutter require certain ranks to own them!

Corvette - Rear Admiral (rank 12) - Federal Navy
Cutter - Duke (rank 12) - Imperial Navy

I'm not far off Rear Admiral, but I want the Cutter which is way out of reach.

Hey Fras, I've been playing since launch but have played other games between.

I started with Federation and reached Post Commander. I'm now with the Empire and am currently Baron rank.
My ship is an Anaconda fitted out for trade and exploration with defensive weapons, but still packs a punch!

I originally pledged my allegiance to Aisling to get the shields (and because she is fit!).
Now I'm with Zemina for the trading benefits, as I mainly trade.
I don't mind which power I join.

I was thinking of heading back towards Federation space again to try and reach Rear Admiral for the Corvette!

Let me know which part of space you are in and I will head that way.
(I will miss trading in slaves, very profitable!)

I know Spartan and Iwazzio have/or had a group running for Zachary Hudson. Would you want to add to the group or join a new one?

It is such a huge game that we have all carved different careers and play the game totally differently. I play mostly on the Solo server trading and exploring with the occasional combat when someone tries to take my cargo!

I'm sure it would be fun to gather and help each other, or just hang out

I hope no one feels under any pressure to join in and form a group.
Since registering with the Inara community I have had a few invites to join groups.
They have all made it clear that you continue to play when and how you want to. Which I hope would be the way to go for us.
There are three modes of play, Open(all online),Private Group(you and your buddies against the universe),or Solo(yourself against the universe)
Private Group would be the way to go IMO, until we have the confidence to go Open!
Myself, I have been mainly in Solo

I'm hoping that if we can group up just now and then, we can help each other.
I've not played online before, but maybe for example I could drop valuable cargo for guys to scoop up and sell for big money or hold fuel for pilots who run out (mess up their route)

I don't know, it would be fun learning together though.

If anyone is interested it would be useful to know which area of space you are operating in.

Currently I am in Empire space hanging around Synteini, Zemina Torval's base. Though I am not pledged to her (I was, then went to Federation for my Corvette). Just passing through now!

I would be happy to meet up with fellow SWF CMDR's anywhere. I would just trade my way to your co-ordinates!

"I'm in. Just got back into the game and right now I'm doing some trading and delivery missions until I can find and afford a Viper, then it's all combat and exploration for me! I've already sent requests to Iwazzio, Wobbly, and Fras.
