Developing Our Gallery

Some of our thread/posting content needs to be shifted to the Gallery. In the new grey forum, I am guilty of the habit of posting image content in the forum boards.

- I would like the "GALLERY" hyperlink to be shifted from the left menu to the top universal menu between EVENTS and SERVERS.

- I want the gallery to be in two principle sections:
Images & Video

The content of this forum board should be posted in the gallery:
Videos & Images
Want to share a military online gaming video or image? This is where to do it.

The link can be changed easily. I will do that this evening.

The ability of the gallery to sustain video has yet to be tested but I will give it a shot. If it works I will create a video section.

As soon as I figure it out I will make a new post in the forum instructions section.

I just tried to upload a video and it appears our gallery does not have the capacity to handle videos. The gallery is upload only as well so linking videos to the gallery won't work either. We can, however, create a new page using HTML code and call it videos so we can just imbed from YouTube.

There is only one issue with this. If the gallery link is displayed at the top it will be displayed to everyone, not just members. At this time I can not make specific sections in the gallery private so anyone browsing the site will be able to view them. If everyone is okay with not having that element of privacy I will place the link at the top.

How about the top one is the primary gallery and the left side is the private member gallery?

Hadn't thought of that. I will try installing a second instance of the gallery this weekend and see if that works.

The second instance of the gallery did not work which was very disappointing. Every time I tried to change settings from default I got a blank screen from the module admin page. I am always keeping my eyes open for new gallery modules and as soon as a new one comes out I will give it a try to see if it works better than the current. Unfortunately until then our gallery is what it is.

I did get the logged in banner working though!

Thanks for getting the Logged in status operational. Can the "You are logged in" title and the "Click here to log out." hyperlink be on the same text line on either side of the forum frame?
