The beginning is very corny and worth avoiding.

Start at 0:50 for better quality content.

(Youtube video uploaded are capped at 30 FPS)

Avermedia
- 1920 x 1080 at 30 FPS 60 megabit
- H264 encoder for compression
- MP4 or .ts format
- HDMI and 3.5 mm jack pass through
- Minimum requirement dual CPU processor with 4 GB RAM
- Can be used to stream live to Twitch
- Features not present: scene selection, overlay, webcam, and program hiding

Shadowplay
- 2560 x 1600 at 60 FPS 50 megabit
- H264 encoder for compression
- Only MP4 format
- Video card encoder does the heavy lifting with a performance hit of less than 5%
- Records up to last 20 minutes of gameplay

Comparison
- Both great video quality with minimal impact of game performance
- For higher quality/reliability, Avermedia maybe your choice
- Using OBS with straight H264 encoding provides smoother streaming
- Record to a dedicated drive preferably an SSD
