With staying warm becoming a factor in Dayz its important to know how to build a fire. First, you combine a bandage/rag with some kindling (which can be gathered from a bush using an axe) to make a fireplace. Then use the axe to chop firewood from a tree and add that to the fireplace. Place matches in your hand and ignite fireplace. Raw meat can be placed in the open slots of the fireplace and cooked. Be careful, don't overcook them. As you stay in close proximity to the fire your character will slowly warm up.
The important thing is don't give up. With a little perseverance and a little luck we can end this zombie outbreak and rebuild our society.
