VoIP in Squad is a tailored solution to facilitate voice communication with random players.

The Local voice is a 3D positional replication of your voice within a 25 metre radius of you. The further you are from the person speaking over Local, the quieter they sound.

Medics are lightly armed with a service rifle, smoke grenades, and a limited amount of medical supplies. Their primary job is to keep the squad combat ready by treating the wounded and reviving friendly soldiers that have been incapacitated.

Getting injured on the battlefield is inevitabile. How your squad manages your wounded is key to prolonged combat effectiveness.

After being revived, a soldier is put into a wounded state. You will have degraded function until brought back to full health. There is a stamina penalty, increased weapon sway, and lower health. To get out of the wounded state and return to full health, you will need to make your way back to the nearest Foward Operating Base (FOB) to the Casualty Collection Point (CCP).

Deployables are divided into 3 categories.

Fortifications which are defensive options: sandbags, wire, and trip flares.

Emplacements are weapon platforms: heavy machine guns and anti-air batteries.

Tech Structures are used to expand the functionality of a FOB: ammo dump, armory to change kit roles, and a Casualty Collection Point (CCP).

Spawn Locations

There are 3 places where you can spawn in Squad.

Rally Points (RPs) are useful in maintaining squad cohesion as they can be placed in locations relatively close to the front; no form of supply.

Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) can be constructed so entire team can spawn closer to the front lines.

The Main Base (Main) is where both sides start at the beginning of the round and where all vehicular assets spawn.
