My plan was to use the ingame friends list and post each player individually. I think it would be easier that way instead of trying to figure out third party sites. I have no problem purchasing DLC that is needed since I planned to get it any way. We will be able to tell which vehicle by the screenshot I take just like the past couple with the car in the shot.

I finally made the run. The first two attempts ended in disaster. First I wrecked on the way there and the second I dumped the transmission. I had just changed my controls up a bit realizing that the steering help was turned on along with other driving assists. I realized this was a bad choice so I reloaded and took her out just to get the feel of the new settings. Another reload and a trip to the starting line later and I was on my way. I took it as fast as I felt comfortable without destroying the car which I assumed was going to be a slow time. I got to the finish line and held up the results which hadn't populated yet. About a second later everyones names and times were on the score sheet and I went scanning down the list looking for mine. I didn't see it. My time was at the bottom of the sheet but not on the list. I wondered what had happened. Did I get disqualified? Did I do something wrong and not get scored? NO! I GOT THIRD! I ACTUALLY PLACED. And that is when I noticed the trophy in the background.

Then I just had to take a glamour shot with the trophy in the hood.

I am not sure yet if this has unlocked more content in the game so there willl be more to come later.

Almost forgot...

Buy extra belts. I threw mine shortly after the race pulling out of my driveway.

The final results are in!

It turns out this game is addicting as crack. Especially if you are a gear/petrol head like I am. Pumping septic tanks and cutting firewood for money to buy food, fuel and parts. And don't forget the odd call in the middle of the night to pick someone up from the pub or to take revenge on a jerk. The driving physics are a bit sloppy and take some getting used to but aren't terrible. The mechanical side of things is really well thought out and even gave me a headache every once and a while trying to figure out why something isn't working like it is supposed to. I even exploded the car in to a fireball in the driveway while trying to tune it. A quick reload later and I found that I had missed tightening a nut on the intake manifold. If you like puzzles or cars in any way you would like this game.

Now back to work so I can buy some more parts and be the fastest in the land!

Thats the next step. I am going to purchase a few parts, get it inspected then do a bunch of work to raise money for the rest of the parts to tune it in to a proper rally racer. I will post times on the challenge when I get there. Hopefully by the time I'm done with all that more new content will come out for the game. It's been a lot of fun so far.

I got the game and just completed the car. Here it is in the inspection bay to get it licensed.

First result was a fail. Aparently they don't like you running racing exhaust on the street. And the safety triangle? I had to google that. turns out you have to take it off your tractor and have it in the car or you will fail for that as well. Tomorrow I WILL have plates on it!

Here is a video from the dev. Its a bit slow but I encourage watching the whole thing. It gets pretty funny about half way through and the hits keep coming.

If this doesn't convince you to buy the game nothign else will.

Different cars have different handling charistics and require a different driving style. One of the reasons I did so well with the Corvette on Nurburg. Not only do I know the track well but I also spend a lot of time in racing simulators with high powered rear wheel drive race preped vehicles. If the vehicles are closley matched in power to weight ratio and g-force achieved on the skid pad it comes down to what you are more comfortable driving.
