15 SEP 2015 When the first 0.59 experimental build hits, you'll notice a few things we'll be trying. •10 Offroad Hatchbacks will spawn •10 Civilian Sedans will spawn •5 Transit Buses will spawn •5 V3S Chassis will spawn •3 V3S Cargo will spawn
These numbers may not carry over to stable, as the intent is to test how both the server handles the amount, and the player-player vehicle position is handled. In addition, we'll be operating most servers at 75 players on 0.59 experimental. If we're able to get server side performance above the red line at 75 players prior 0.59 hitting stable, it will carry over. If not, we'll continue to work towards it with 0.60 experimental.
This video explains a lot about the lack of progress in DayZ. The level of incompetence and disorganization is going to end up killing this franchise. What a shame.
They say there are zombies in 0.59, and I've seen videos of there being zombies in 0.59... but I played for over 2 hours this morning and didn't see a single one. I'm not sure why, maybe they don't spawn new ones after they are killed? Maybe new ones don't spawn after server restarts? But I was able to run through Svet completely zombie free for the entire time I was playing.
Maybe I'll get lucky soon, and actually see one again. I honestly miss the zombies, and I wish they would become a threat again. Remember the days of crawling through Polana just to find some food? I want THOSE days back!
0.59 STABLE UPDATE BRINGS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL WIPE OF CHARACTERS, ITEMS, AND SERVER DATA!

They want to bring the Little Bird helicopter to stable branch as soon as possible. The programming team has its first aircraft operating with the proper physics, but multiplayer sync is not quite ready. We won't be seeing the Little Bird in time for Christmas, but they're confident we will not be waiting much longer.
The motorbike is ready:
The bicycle is under development:
Tracking will deepen the hunting experience with fleeing animals leaving different signs and marks like hoove/paw prints, blood trail, scraped ground, and stomped grass. This same system can be used for tracking of survivors and their vehicles.
