The latest patch brings some free items.

NC get the Mauler shotgun, semi auto, 6 shot.

You will also get a questionnaire on your play style and from that you will get one free weapon for the class of your choice, cells camo and a one day boost.

Camos now come as a set of three for 500SC (vehicle, armour and weapon)

Any camos you have previously purchased will now unlock the complete set ! Bonus.

Well I bought the Sweeper with certs a couple of weeks ago which is a very similar shotgun. I also bought some matching camos in the sale at Xmas :(

My best weapon choice was the Carnage for the medic.

What did you end up with ?

I noticed the Mauler amongst my weapons, but like yourself I'd already got the Claw (looked best to me comparing stats)They are great fun in the right situations!

I don't know what else I ended up with. I didn't realize I was choosing a weapon with that questionnaire I will check next time I'm on.
I already have the Carnage from Waterson, quite a beast!

The questionnaire recommended an Infiltrator kit enhancement and I opted for some free stuff for the Max. I got an armor unlock, blue swirl camo, and two weapons for the Max.

I like using the Max, what weapons did you get ?

Left - NCM1 Scattercannon
Right - NCM2 Falcon

Free Unlock
Left - AF-23 Grinder
Right - NS-10 Buster

I haven't played Max much, but I have enjoyed it. I find you have to approach the game differently, depending on the situation.

Weapon choice for me is usually to double up for the situation:

AI x2 Scattercannon
AV x2 Falcon or x2 Raven (guided but not as powerful)
AA x2 Burster

I tend to go for the Falcon setup as these also take out infantry with the splash damage.

Doubling up on these weapons means you might have to purchase additional for left or right

I love using the Max but it's very situational. Ideally you want dual shotguns for crowd control. Their range is under 10m to be effective, they're ideal for in buildings at doorways or top of stairs.

With extended mags (or maybe without) you will kill an enemy Max at CQs no problem. Charge is good for getting away from trouble, but I mostly use the shield now. You can't reload with the shield up but if you press reload then shield, it will come up while you continue the reload.

Don't get caught out in the open multiple sustained fire will soon take you down.
