I had to test the Monte Carlo track right away! The first thing I learned was that the RUF isn't the right car for this track...yet. Someone has already driven on this combination and posted a video about it. It'll be a while before I can control the RUF in the snow as well as he does.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZqd2yAn4r8 A car with front-wheel drive and a small amount of power was what I needed. The Rover Mini Cooper seemed like a good choice, and it was. It doesn't have much power, but it's a classic rally car. After a while of getting used to the car and the slippery track I was Scandinavian flicking my way through most of the corners.
I also tried the Alpha Romeo QV and the BMW M3 E30. The Alpha Romeo is just boring to drive. The BMW of course has rear-wheel drive. RWD doesn't fit rallying very well, but luckily we'll get AWD cars in the future as official cars and most probably in mods too.
