I think the winning feature is going to be the easy way to set up online races with friends. Assetto Corsa is superb, but they make it so damn difficult to create online races.

For us petrol heads I think it will be essential to own both games

That split screen between the game and real life is amazing. I would have chosen the one on the left as real.

PC has been delayed until early April.

This video on the career mode is interesting. assetto Corsa is lacking in this area.

It is early days to give an in depth review, but here are a few initial observations.

Graphics and sound are superb. Handling seems good but it is difficult to say using a controller.

The best feature looks to be the multiplayer. Races can be setup with a password or friends only option. When a race is set up, friends can be invited directly from your Steam friends list.
Everything can be controlled in the server set up inc. track, cars, laps, pitstops, assists, weather, time of day etc.
I will have to post screen shots of the set up pages.

Another neat feature is that you can import a friends lap to be used as a ghost car in Time Trial.

Lastly the 'Career' mode is actually a career (unlike Assetto) You get awarded cups etc for victories and get invites to join other teams if they are impressed by your driving.

I will have to hop over to Assetto Corsa to try and compare. It is too soon to come to a decision, but Assetto might pinch it on phyisics while ProjectCARS has better content and features mainly the ease of setting up online races.

I've only played a couple of hours and not even sorted my controller yet so I will be back soon
