It is released, but there are problems .

I've managed to get onto one server so far, but will try again soon.

The main problem is creating your own server, it is so complicated. I,m sure things will be sorted, it is early access after all

It all seemed to run well.
The best thing to do is filter the servers for available 'bookings'
There is then a practice session, qualifying then race.

Sounds good...except the part where I'm following YOUR Ferrari. We'll see who's faster in a real race!


Speaking of Ferraris, Ferrari 458 GT2 and Ferrari LaFerrari will be added for free later on. Interestingly, due to engine restrictions in the GT class, the 458 GT2 has 100 bhp LESS (from 570 to 470) than the 458 Italia we already have in the game. It's also about 300 kg lighter than the road car version. It should be interesting to see how well does it compare to the 458 Italia.

The Ferrari LaFerrari... Its predecessor, the Enzo, was so good they named it after the founder of the company. LaFerrari mean "The Ferrari" as far as I know. So this is the definitive Ferrari. It's not a supercar, it's a hypercar. In the rear it has a 6.3 litre V12 engine producing 789 bhp... But that wasn't enough for the ultimate Ferrari so they added a KERS system that can add extra power when needed. This brings the total power output level to 950 bhp. The company wants their cars to retain their luxurious status, so only 499 LaFerraris will be made. And according to the Top Gear article, it shouldn't be imppossible to drive.

I see you have both joined,cool. I thought it would be better for you to see for yourselves what they are about.
You need to acquire a license to join the servers.(application on the web forum)
This gives you access to the servers password and also TS3 password.

I think it will be great racing with respectful players. The few games I have joined so far have had a couple of idiots ramming and cutting corners etc. This won't happen on the RD servers.(if it does, they get banned)

I still want to create a couple of servers for ourselves eg. US and EU.(I can't fathom it out yet though)

PS:The other day I saw a Ferrari 458. It was white with a black roof. OMG!,what a beautiful beast. Rear tires must have been 2' wide! The guy had been out jogging and returned to find me sniffing the aroma of the hot engine! He didn't seem to find that weird, a real petrol head!

Good news! The steering wheel does fit on my desk at home. I haven't checked out the multiplayer, but hopefully we could try it out next weekend.

I've got my first race with RaceDepartment tonight.Ferrari 599XX at Monza

Wow, that was intense!
After practice I managed my fastest time at 1:47 and was the slowest. A lot were getting 1:42!
After qualifying I hit 1:46 and ended up 23rd on the grid of 23 players .
I finished 13th of 14 still running after 15 laps.
These guys are serious racers
